Gladys Marie Therese Fidelia

Gladys Marie Therese Souffront Fidelia, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, in Miami, Florida. She was born on August 6, 1939, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Gladys is survived by her children Marie Emmanuelle Jacqueline Bouchereau, Patrick Fidelia, Marie Gabrielle Magaly Anteola, Claude Henry Dominique Fidelia, Johanne Fidelia Goutier and Jacques Antoine Frantz Fidelia Jr. Her step-children Jacques Antonio Frantz Appleton and Nichole Kimberly Taylor.

She is also survived by her sister Ketlie Paul, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

We hold dear to our hearts the memory of her beloved husband, Jacques Antoine Frantz Fidelia Sr. and their daughter, Marie Denise Valerie Fidelia Chong Kam, who have gone before her and now rest in eternal peace

Gladys had a successful career in management in the hospitality industry, where she made a lasting impact with her dedication and leadership. She was known for her strong work ethic and her ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for those she encountered.

In her role as a loving wife and mother, Gladys embraced the responsibilities and joys that came with nurturing and guiding her family. Truly, she was an extraordinary example of unconditional love and selflessness. Gladys was known by many as, “Mama Ga”. She was well known for her sense of humor, her keen sense of fashion, her forgiving nature and her giving heart. She loved to dance.. if music was playing, Mama Ga was on the dance floor. There was nothing that could get in the way of Mama Ga’s faith; one thing we can all agree on is that Mama Ga was a woman of God. You would often find her reading her bible or one of her favorite books, “ The Daily Word”.

Mama Ga will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be embedded in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

A ceremony to celebrate Gladys' life will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at 11:30 at The Cathedral of St. Mary, located at 7525 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida 33150.
