It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Humberto J. Calzada, who departed this life on August 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Born in Cuba on May 25, 1944, Humberto made his home in Miami, Florida, where he was known and admired for his work as an artist specializing in portrait painting.
A man of great talent and depth, Humberto’s art captured not just the likeness but the soul of his subjects, and his legacy will live on through his work and the lives he touched. He was a proud and devoted family man, and his love extended beyond the canvas to his cherished family and community.
Humberto was preceded in death by his beloved wife, whose memory he held close to his heart. He is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and a large circle of family and friends who will forever remember his warmth, creativity, and spirit.
He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
