Ileana Martinez

Ileana Martinez was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend whose life was defined by unconditional love, strength, and devotion to her family.

Born in Cuba, Ileana immigrated to the United States at the age of 12, settling first in Brooklyn, New York, then Union City, New Jersey, before making Miami, Florida, her home for most of her life. A dedicated and hardworking professional, she spent the majority of her career in the sales department at Univision 23.

Above all, family was the center of Ileana’s world. She was a selfless and devoted woman who always put the needs of her loved ones before her own. To her only son, Jorge Millares, she was both a mother and a father, his foundation, his greatest supporter, and a constant source of unconditional love.

Ileana embraced life with laughter, dancing, traveling, and a love for good movies. Known for her wonderful sense of humor and refreshingly direct personality, she was never afraid to speak her mind. Above all, she was someone her family and friends could always depend on.

She is survived by her loving son, Jorge Millares; her cherished granddaughters, Melody Millares, Analeese Millares, and Anabella Millares; her beloved great-grandchild, Brooklyn Tejera; her sister, Gladys Ramos; her brother, Serafin “Tin” Ramos; and her extended family and friends.

Ileana’s greatest legacy is the love she gave, the sacrifices she made, and the lives she touched. Her strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Ileana Martínez fue una amada madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana, hija y amiga, cuya vida estuvo marcada por el amor incondicional, la fortaleza y la dedicación a su familia.

Le sobreviven su querido hijo, Jorge Millares; sus adoradas nietas, Melody Millares, Analeese Millares y Anabella Millares; su querido bisnieto, Brooklyn Tejera; su hermana, Gladys Ramos; su hermano, Serafin “Tin” Ramos; así como sus demás familiares y amigos.
