Jairo Villanueva, a beloved resident of Hialeah, Florida, was born on September 20, 1979, in Nicaragua. He passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 46.

Jairo Villanueva was the youngest of four siblings whose family emigrated from Nicaragua and who together worked hard to build a proud, successful life in the United States. Jairo had many accomplishments, but his greatest was being a devoted brother, son, and uncle. Jairo will be remembered for always touching the lives of everyone he met.

Jairo was committed to excellence in every facet of his life, and he strove to be the best in any subject he undertook. With hard work and determination, he became a world-class athlete and often competed in triathlons at home and abroad.

With that same determination, he graduated from Florida International University's Honors College and then Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law and became a successful, accomplished attorney. Jairo was a gentle, supportive, loving center to our family; he was always considerate, wise, and thoughtful in his words and actions. Jairo had a deeply inquisitive mind that led him to enjoy watching foreign films and reading many books. He loved the intellectual challenge and appreciated how important it was to consider others' experiences and points of view.

Jairo was committed to fairness, justice, and equity, and his heart was always open to helping others. Our family will deeply miss Jairo's presence, but we will take comfort in the positive, inspirational, and profound impact he had on our family and our world.

Jairo will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Maria Luisa Villanueva; his sister, Ana Villanueva; his brothers, Juan Carlos Villanueva and Jaime Villanueva; his niece, Sophia Villanueva; and his nephew, Diego Villanueva.

Visitation will be held on September 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33155.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Jairo’s life, share memories, and offer their condolences to his loved ones.

May Jairo rest in eternal peace, and may his memory live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
