Greetings Wendy, Joe, and Jessica:
Ricardo Silvestre - Jessica's 2nd Grade teacher from Asociación Escuelas Lincoln - is writing.  I continue to extend my warmest condolences on the passing of Jason. Out of no where I had a dream with Jason. We worked together at Starbucks 2003, and he was FULL of jokes, stories and an amazing heart. My dream revolved around just that. I will always remember this one time a customer did not have enough money for her order, without a hesitation Jason whipped out his credit card and paid for it... it was that kind of heart and generosity that inspired SO many. 

Just wanted to share that!!!

Jason was one of the most natural athletes I have ever seen - joy to watch, joy to play with, and joy to coach. We won the roller hockey league undefeated that season, and it definitely wasn't because I was the coach. It was because whenever we needed to score, all I had to do was tell Jason to go in and do it, and he would always find a way to score. And that smile of his... I will never forget it. Jason - I loved you then, and I love you now. Rest in peace.

I feel with all my heart there is very much I would like to say , and yet I am speechless.  I sit in silence to reflect on your pictures and memories and yet this enormous sadness causes so much noise. With deep sadness my condolences to my brother Jose , sister in law Wendy, niece Jessica and nephew Greg,  my heart goes to you. As Jason's aunt I love you not a day less than before. Your heart of gold , your smile skies wide , your ease to make everyone around you laugh , feel happy and loved is  fondly remembered by your circle of many . Jason , I miss you but will not say goodbye , I will speak of you in the life we know and  I will forever think of your genuine hugs. En mi paso por el Lincoln en el Counselling Department han pasado muchas personas . Ya hace mucho no estoy allí pero Jason ha dejado una gran marca en muchos de nosotros. Esas personas difíciles de olvidar. Esos alumnos que hacen diferencia. Les envío mis condolencias a toda la familia y amigos, toda la fuerza para seguir adelante y decirles que lo recuerdo con muchísimo cariño. Saludos a todos los compañeros del Lincoln también que hemos tenido la suerte de conocerlo y disfrutarlo.

Dear Pontes, I would like to extend my deep and sincere condolences to all of you .  I remember Jason as someone with a heart of gold...and having the honor of meeting his family, he couldn't have had it of any other metal than that. We had the  supreme privilege of teaching Jason during our years at Lincoln in Buenos Aires.  Jason was funny, warm, and genuine, a friend to all. We will always cherish the memory of him organizing Teletubbies Costumes and surprising our daughter for Halloween.  Joergen, Jason, and some of his friends all dressed up like the teletubbies, including doing the song and dance routine, delighting not only our daughter, but the also the entire high school. Jason was a role model and a joy to teach.

We were lucky to have shared many good times with Jason while we were teachers at Lincoln: The American International School/Asociación Escuelas Lincoln, Buenos Aires, Argentina.  We are blessed to have such great memories of Jason, who will be remembered as having a character that embodies the best qualities of adolescence: an ambassador who empowered those around him.  You will be dearly missed.

Ha pasado tiempo y los recuerdos de ustedes en Argentina han quedado intactos en el corazon de muchos de nosotros. La vida de Jason en Lincoln ha sido plena, intensa , alegre , comprometida, todos los recordamos de la misma manera,  es un shock dificil de transitar para todos los que lo hemos querido y apreciado tanto, desde aca les mando mis mas sentidas condolencias  y que  puedan encontrar reparo a tanto dolor juntos en familia y con amigos, un inmenso y eterno abrazo a todos.

To the Ponte Family
We are all so devastated to hear the news of Jason’s passing. 
Of all our daughter Lauren’s friends Jason stood out as a caring, thoughtful friend. His charismatic effervescent personality was contagious and made us love him even more. He was a delightful young man and our time in Buenos Aires was made more special because of the gift of his friendship.
Please accept our sincere deep condolences on your loss. 
The world is a much sadder place without dear  Jason in it.
We hope you can find some comfort in knowing he brought joy to our family.

 At Lincoln we had a middle school baseball team called the Yankees . I was  the coach, Kathy was the  team  Mom, and Jason was our star player. Our oldest son Rob was on that team and when Jason pitched, Rob was the catcher. We rode Jason’s  arm and bat to the 1996 Championship that year.  Jason was the best player on our team and the league, and possibly the best athlete in the  school. Regardless of his superior athletic ability, good looks,  and larger than life personality, Jason was always  a great team mate and very respectful to me, the other coaches, and the rest of the players in the league. He was a pleasure to coach and to be around. But Jason was more than a great athlete, he was a great friend to our sons  and  to the rest of his classmates at Lincoln. Our family will will always have  very fond memories of those days in Argentina when Jason, Jessie, Joe, and Wendy were an integral part of our lives. Jason will be greatly missed  by everyone that had  the opportunity to meet and get to know him. He is gone, but he will never be forgotten .

Dear Ponte Family,
It’s been many years since we first met in Recife at the American School of Recife. Your family was so kind and welcoming  to me, my mom and dad (Billy and Angela English). Mom and dad even visited your family when you were living in Argentina. We spent many wonderful times at the Sheraton hotel with your family.
We are so sorry to hear about Jason’s passing. We are sending lots of love to you all. Praying for comfort and peace to your broken hearts.

I met Jason on my first day at Lincoln in the 5th grade. New country, nee language, new school- it was terrifying. But Jason welcomed everyone, with such light and laughter that you couldn’t help but feel you instantly had a friend. We became close friends in the 2 years I was there and his positive attitude and smile were contagious. It sounds like he never lost that light and continued to make people feel loved. He will be so missed. My thoughts and love are with everyone touched by Jason.
