PASSED AWAY ON APRIL 8TH 2021 IN MIAMI, FLORIDA AT 96 YEARS YOUNG. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Ruby Pettit and Her brothers and sister Lavone, Richard, and Robert. She is Survived by her Sons; Gary, Michael, and David and numerous Nieces and Nephews and by her grandchildren Rodney, Ryan, Michael, and Barbara, and by her great grandchildren Taylor, Katy, Skyler, Lance, Briella, Bianca, and Oliver.
Born in Grandview Missouri and raised in Blackwater, Missouri where she excelled in school and played Basketball. During World War II She enlisted in the Waves. She never got to serve as the War ended and She went to Oak Ridge, TN to work on the Manhattan Project and the first Atomic Bombs. This is where she would meet her loving Husband Malvin they were married for 62 years and where she would have all 3 of her children.
She was a great and loving gentle kind sweet Mom and Grandmother and dotted on her grandkids
She loved to bowl, square dance, and go to garage sales and later in life she loved QVC. She was generous to a fault and most of what she bought was for her Grandkids and Great Grandkids. She moved to Powell TN and lived there for 38 years it was while living there that she started her own business “39 AND HOLDING” in Knoxville TN of which she was very proud. She moved to Miami FL in July of 2005 and lived here until she Passed
