Jose Julio Fernandez, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at his home. Julio was born in Santiago, Cuba, and exiled to The United Stated in 1961. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Juana (Lia) Fernandez, his niece Magda, his grandchildren Tyler Cosner and Megan Cosner-Hrynkiw. He began his career in the Justice system in Havana, where he met his wife. Later worked for many years at Met Drugs Pharmacy in Hialeah and retired from Tuya Freight Forwarding Company 1999. Julio and his wife would love to spend their weekends at the Ermita de la Caridad singing in the choir and volunteering in Mantua in the Exile. He also sang in many wedding ceremonies. Julio had a fun-loving personality and was dearly admired by all.
