Joseph Oramas, 78, murió tranquilo en su casa el 7 de mayo de 2021 rodeado de su familia. Nació el 9 de marzo de 1943 en Regla, Cuba , hijo de Saul Oramas y Osmara Suarez. Mejor conocido como Joe o Pepe para sus amigos; adoraba viajar y conocer el mundo, y estaba siempre listo para contar un chiste. Pepe siempre fue honrado y leal con todos sus amigos y siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar a quien lo necesitara.
A los doce años, Pepe y su familia emigraron a la ciudad de Nueva York. A los 18 años entro en la Marina durante la época de Vietnam y estuvo localizado en varias bases alrededor del mundo. Cuando salió de la Marina, Pepe comenzó su Carrera con el New York City Metro Transit Authority donde trabajo con mucho orgullo por 23 años. En 1993, se retiró en Miami Beach donde se dedicó a disfrutar del sol y a recorrer el mundo, y a disfrutar de la compañía de sus amigos y familia. Pepe fue un hijo ejemplar y cuido con amor de sus padres hasta el final.
Pepe fue un alma buena, siempre querido y apreciado por sus amigos y familiares. Su buen humor, elegancia natural y bondad de carácter la vamos a extrañar. Joseph Oramas, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on May 7, 2021 surrounded by family. He was born on March 9, 1943 in Regla, Cuba to the late Saul Oramas and the late Osmara Oramas. Referred to as Joe or Pepe by all who knew him; he loved to travel, was quick with a joke, and was a kind, loyal, and loving friend.
At the age of twelve, Joseph and his family moved to New York City. He joined the Navy during the Vietnam era and was stationed in various locations around the world. After the Navy, Joseph had a successful career with the New York City Metro Transit Authority where he proudly worked for 23 years. In 1993, he retired in Miami Beach where he spent his time enjoying the sun, traveling the world, and cherishing the company of his friends and family. Joe was always an exemplary son, and always loved and took care of his parents till the end.
Joseph was a kind soul who was loved by his friends and family, and whose humor and calm demeanor will be sorely missed. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from 7pm - 11pm in Chapel H at the Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Rd, Miami, FL 33155.
A funeral service will be held the next day at 9am on Thursday, May 13th at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Rd, Miami, FL 33155. After the service, Joseph will be laid to rest at 10:30am at the Vista Memorial Gardens cemetery, 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
