Juan Dios, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, in Miami, Florida, at the age of 96. Family was at the center of his life, and he was known for his unwavering loyalty, gentle nature, and enduring love. His presence brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to have known him.
Born in Castiñeiras, Spain, Juan was raised alongside his three siblings in a home centered on family. The lessons he learned there stayed with him throughout his life and were reflected in the way he cared for those around him.
Juan married Nidia Almeyda and was blessed to share many years and two children with her. When he lost the love of his life in 1976, he remained a constant source of love and support for his children and family.
In 1980, Juan began a loving relationship with Migdalia Ginart. They shared three decades together before her passing in 2009.
Juan proudly served his country in the Spanish Armed Forces and later worked with Spain’s Merchant Marine before making his way to the United States in the 1950s and becoming an American citizen . He went on to spend many years in the construction industry as a member of the Laborers Local 472 in NJ. As a man of integrity and commitment, his greatest legacy is the love he gave to his family and the example he set through a life of hard work, dedication, and devotion.
Juan was a loving and devoted father to his two children, Juan Alan and Clarissa, and father-in-law to Joe and Lily. He dedicated himself to encouraging, supporting, and loving everyone unconditionally throughout their lives. Juan was blessed with four grandchildren: Priscilla, John Paul, Angelo, and Erika. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. They brought him great joy, filling his life with laughter and purpose, and his love will remain with them always.
He will be lovingly remembered by his three sisters, Manuela, Pilar, and Ventura, and his brother-in-law, José, along with his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
To know Juan was to know a man whose life was defined by love. Above all, Juan will be remembered for the example he set. His legacy is not measured by his accomplishments or possessions, but by the countless lives he touched. Though he is no longer physically with us the love he shared so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
