Layda Mendez, born on October 6, 1935, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 90. She was a resident of Miami, Florida.

She is survived by her daughter, Layda R. Morales, her son, Carlos Mendez, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Sunset, located at 7355 SW 117 Ave., Miami, FL 33183, on January 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The burial will take place at Vista Memorial Gardens, located at 14200 NW 57 Ave., Miami Lakes, FL 33014, on January 24, 2026, at 10:00 am.
