My deepest condolences to the family of Levine. I met her a few years ago at BSF and I have always known her to be so positive and encouraging. She would always say “God is Good” when you ask her how she was doing.  I pray that you will be comforted by the Holy Spirt. I pray that as you grieve you will remember the many memories she has left with you. Cry if you need to but laugh when you remember her infectious smile. May the Lord bless and keel you always.

Miss Leter was a beacon of kindness and strength that was ahead of her time. Her thoughtfulness and forward-thinking spirit brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Leonie was more than a friend she was like a big sister to me. Her kindness, compassion and strength had a profound impact on my life. 
Rest in peace dear Leonie. You may be gone but your love and memory will remain in my heart forever.

Levine was a joy to be around. Visiting her meant you would be staying longer than intended, and even then it was not long enough for her. She was a giver. You never leave her house empty handed. She loved the Lord and was the one who invited me to the church I still attend today. For that, I will be forever grateful.  Love  you my friend.  You will be truly missed and forever be in my heart. Rest in perpetual peace in the arms of our Savior.

Shared fond memories when meeting in UK or USA.

Growing up on Tower Hill, Mrs. Litta was more than just my mother Ena’s best friend — she was family. Our homes were close, and our lives were deeply intertwined. She was a kind, thoughtful, and forward-thinking woman whose presence brought so much warmth to everyone around her.

As a child, I loved going over to her house. To me, she and her husband were futuristic people — always coming up with new ideas and creative ways of doing things. I was especially fascinated by how they would graft trees, taking a sour orange and blending it with another species to create the sweetest orange imaginable. Watching them work inspired me deeply; it made me want to explore, learn, and create the way they did.

The only thing I could never quite master was catching bees and making honey like they did — but every time I visited, I left with something sweet: honey, oranges, or some other delicious treat. The joy I felt as a young boy walking to their home is something I’ll never forget. Their house was filled with love, creativity, and the kind of peace that stays with you for a lifetime.

When they moved to Florida, I admired how they carried their craft, their passion, and a piece of home with them. It was truly a reflection of who they were — people who nurtured everything and everyone they touched.

I wish I could be there in person to help send her home, but my mother isn’t well and is currently in the hospital. Still, my heart is with the Saunders family. Please know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

May Mrs. Litta rest in eternal peace. Her kindness, her brilliance, and her spirit will always live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Ms Leter was very hospitable. I could never dare visit and not eat something before leaving her home. I would start singing the old hymns of Zion and she would just break out in singing and worshiping.  She was very comical. While watching reruns of Steve Harvey's Family Feud game shows, she would break out in laughter about some of the answers. I will definitely miss our rapport. Shalom!!
