Born in Consolación del Sur, Cuba, Lidia carried throughout her life a deep love for her family, her homeland, and the Catholic faith. Proud of her Cuban heritage, she remained deeply connected to the country of her birth and never lost hope of one day seeing Cuba free. She cherished Cuba's traditions, culture, and people, and her love for her homeland was a defining part of who she was. Her pride in being Cuban was evident in everything she did, and she passed that love of family, faith, and country on to future generations. A gifted soprano and pianist, she found great joy in sharing her talents through her church choir, where her beautiful voice inspired and uplifted those around her.
Lidia was a devoted mother, loving sister, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and her beloved sister, all of whom will forever treasure her love, guidance, and example. She was the heart of her family—the one who brought everyone together with warmth, strength, generosity, and steadfast devotion.
A woman of deep Catholic faith, Lidia lived her life with grace, compassion, and dedication to others. Her faith was the foundation upon which she built her family, friendships, and service to those around her. It remained her source of comfort and strength throughout her life.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, faith, generosity, family, and devotion to her Cuban heritage will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
