

Lucas Antonio Clark Jr., age 81, of Drexel Hill, PA and Wilmington. DE and Key Biscayne, FL passed away on Friday, November 30 at his home in Key Biscayne, FL. After a courageous battle with a long standing illness. A memorial mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 100 Harbor Drive in Key Biscayne, FL on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow the mass at the church. Lucas was born in Havana, Cuba in 1931. He was the son of the late Lucas A. Clark and Catalina Puentes Clark of Coral Gables, FL. Lucas grew up in Havana, Cuba and was educated at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Georgia Tech. He worked for E. I. DuPont & Company his entire career and retired from the company after 40 years as a plant safety manager and safety consultant.
Lucas met Anita Contreras when they were 14 years old. They were married in 1955 in Havana, Cuba. They remained devoted to each other and their family for their entire lives. In his youth IN Havana, Cuba Lucas was a basketball player at De La Salle and an oarsman at the Havana Yacht Club. After moving to Drexel Hill, PA he was an active member at St. Andrews Parent Association events and a constant presence at his children’s school activities and sporting events. Lucas will be remembered for being a dedicated and loving husband and father, a loyal family man, a dear brother, cousin, and friend, an employee who truly loved his work in plant safety, a friendly neighbor, and one of the most kind, gentle, decent and selfless people to grace this earth.
Lucas is survived by his wife Anita Clark of Key Biscayne FL, his son Lucas A. Clark III and his wife Debbie and their children Lucas A. Clark IV, Lisa Catherine Clark and Michael William Clark of Media PA , his Son Juan Mario Clark and wife Etta Ryan Clark and daughters Blair Alexandra and Haley Anne Clark of Kingsport, TN, his son Charles Edward Clark of Newtown Square PA, and his daughter Anne Marie Clark Hoffman and husband Lawrence Hoffman of Fairfax VA. Lucas is also survived by his loving sister Maria Antonia Lopez of Coral Gables, FL, many nieces and nephews, and wonderful dear lifelong friends.
