Luis de Jesus Pajares II passed away on March 27, 2025 at the age of 88. He lived his life with integrity, dignity, humor, love and generosity and was loved by everyone who met him. Luis who was affectionately known to so many as Rucho, was born in Havana Cuba on October 20, 1936. He attended Georgia Military Academy during his high school years and then attended the General Motors institute in Flint, Michigan. When he returned to Havana, he met and married the love of his life Gladys Sainz Senoran in 1959. On November 1960 they had their first son Luis J. Pajares III. In 1961 Luis, Gladys, their son Luisito, his father Luis Pajares Sr, mother Lilia Pajares Pita and his brother Tony “Coqui” Pajares left Cuba behind and moved to start a new life in Miami, Florida. In 1965 Luis and Gladys had their second son George Felipe Pajares. They lived a wonderful and beautiful life in their home in N. Miami Beach, Florida.
Luis’ career included working for Universal Brands, co-founder of import-export company Comtrak, founded the Bau Olive Oil Company and worked at the Miami Dade Courthouse.
Luis loved getting together with family especially during holidays. He loved and was fortunate to spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed celebrating festivities with his signature Johnnie Walker Black on the rocks.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Luis Sr and Lilia Pajares, and his brother Tony Pajares.
He is survived by his son Luis Pajares III and wife Michelle Anstett Pajares, their children Luis Rowdy Pajares IV and wife Elizabeth, Alexandra Pajares Carter and husband Brandon and Deirdre Pajares Cordova and husband Joseph. He is also survived by his son George Felipe Pajares and life long partner Luz Esther Colomes.
His great-grandchildren who survive him are:
Isabel Pajares, Olivia Pajares, Jameson Carter, Rory Carter, Calia Carter, Elanora Cordova, Lilia Cordova and Walter Cordova.
His loving smile will be greatly missed but never forgotten and we are joyful he is again with his love Gladys ( known to her grandchildren as Abuelita)!
