After earning his bachelor’s degree as a chemical engineer, he worked for the Coca-Cola company for 38 years. Showing a strong work ethic, Luis worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. He was admired and respected for his work ethic, loyalty, and his brilliant mind. Because of the nature of his work he travelled extensively throughout South and Central America and visit places as far away as Egypt and Nigeria. Where he actually lived for a few years.
Luis was happiest when reading and listening to classical music. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others. He loved nature, walking and running. He would run two or three miles a day and when he couldn't anymore he would walk.
Every morning he sat outside in his patio to read a book while listening to the birds sing.
Luis is preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews along with all those hearts he touched in life.
He will be deeply missed and will be remembered for his kindness, compassion and generosity by his family and friends. He was an extremely generous man always stepping up to support family members or friends in need. When one of his nieces tragically lost her father, he went out of his way to call her every Sunday for a year to see how she was doing. Luis was someone who was a vital part of his family.
Luis enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. He leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember him.
A memorial service for Luis will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, Florida 33155.
