It is with great sadness that we announce Lupe Hernandez’s passing on September 18, 2020 in Miami, Florida. Born on September 25, 1934, she was a long-time resident of Miami, Florida after leaving her birthplace of Camaguey, Cuba at the age 33.
Social, outgoing, and loved by all, she loved doing anything and everything if it meant spending time with her family. Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend, she believed in creating and nurturing strong relationships with those around her. She has left a strong impact on those lucky enough to share memories with her. We will never forget how incredibly important and special she was to us all.
Tata as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren died peacefully. She is survived by her two children, Lupita and Jose (wife Vivian), her 7 grandchildren – Jimmy (wife Shannon), Aracelia, Barbie, Vanessa, Joey, Alexandra (husband Erilberto) and Gabriella, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren
To honor and celebrate her life, a viewing will be held on September 25 between the hours of 2pm and 10pm. Her burial will be on Saturday, September 26 at 11:00am. The viewing will take place at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South 11655 SW 117 Avenue.
