Manuel “Manolo/Manny” Boronat passed away on January 17, 2022, in his adopted hometown of Miami, Fl. He fought his long term illness like the true soldier he was until it was finally time to stand down. His courage shone through the smile he permanently wore and his love through his earthshaking laugh.
Since he couldn't return to his birthplace of Jiguani, Cuba, he grew his own tropical paradise in his backyard. His buttery aguacates and sweet mangoes will continue to delight us always. Manolo was a jack of all trades- from fixing cars to being a master Canasta player to brewing his own beer- he remained curious and excited about life. He inspired those around him to just have it- Go! Enjoy!
Vivian, his wife of 41 years, will continue to tend to his trees and flowers. They traveled the world together, always looking for their next adventure.
Manolo was generous, kind and hilarious. He loved every single member of his big family. He relished in his roles of brother, husband, Papá, uncle, cousin, friend.
He is all open arms and heart.
In this spirit we will be saying our farewells; a funeral service is scheduled for 6-11 pm on January 26, 2022 at Caballero Rivero Sunset [7355 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33183]. The mass will be held at 10:00 am on January 27, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church [12800 NW 6th St, Miami, Fl 33182]. The burial begins at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery [11411 NW 25th St, Miami, Fl 33172].
