May you rest in peace, Dr. Cereijo.  You made an extraordinary impact in your students' lives, like my own.  You will always be remembered.

What a great opportunity to express my deepest admiration to a great human being. A second father, and my father’s best friend. No one my father’s generation made me laugh more, and no one made me prouder of my heritage. He proved his love for his beautiful family every day , love of his passion to be a great educator every day , and to be one of the most cherished friends to all every day.                                 A funny aside, and I know I’m very special to know one of his signature traits.  A burb was not a bad thing, it was all corrected to a thumb to the forehead. Many laughs. I hope his children will remember he taught me that.

I am saddened to find this news.  May you rest in peace Dr. Cereijo.  Your expertise in Circuits and Controls taught countless students during your tenure at FIU.  I was one such student back in 1999.  You made a lasting impact on me and my career as an engineer.
