My best memories of growing up here in Miami are of spending time in the summer with Nela and Jose in Pahokee. Nela would pick me up on the last day of school and we’d stop and buy a big bag of m and m’s to eat on the way to Pahokee. Great memories. I loved Nela very much. Her loss leaves a hole in my heart. 

I have the best memories of my dear friend Nela. Although we were almost 10 years apart, Nela and I  became friends. She was in charge of the Telegraph in our town and my mother was friends with her mother, Mariana, and any time my mom visited I spent time with her watching her work. Little did I know that I was going to marry her husband Jose’s cousin and even less know that at the pass of time I coincidentally went to work for his brother in law and ended up involved with the family very close. I loved her very much. R.I.P. Nela, you will have a special place in my heart ❤️
