Maribel, or better Grandma Maribel as we called her was a very special and dear person to us.
With her great heart, she adopted us as her family and a very beautiful bond was born between us.
We remember Granny Maribel in many ways:
In the kitchen with her recipes, with her knitting, with her bees, with her art with plants, but above all with her words and advice.
Granny Maribel taught us many things, but the most important was to have faith, trust in God and pray. As she always said: You don't have to be afraid, you have to trust God and pray.
She was full of Love and Kindness and always ready to help others.
We thank God for having known her and for having shared with her all this time.
We thank Grandma Maribel for all the love she gave us, especially our children Ernesto and Lucia.
It will be very difficult to continue without her guidance and advice and we will miss her a lot. But we are full of her love and we know that from heaven she continues to take care of us
We will always carry her in our hearts.

I can’t even begin to count all the memories I have with Mammima and becoming a part of her family. She taught me how to make baked goods when I was younger and my love for cooking and baking all started with her. My heart aches but I am at the same time calm knowing that she is resting and painless. I will forever be grateful for all the guiding and advising, the laughs, the cuban phrases and jokes that she shared, but most of all, the love she gave me as an “adopted” grand daughter. She’s with my dad, and Pops watching over us all. NEVER to be forgotten 🕊🙏

How do you mention a memory when there are so many to speak of.  I met Maribel through her daughter Patzy and my nephew Michael.  No matter how often I visited her she was genuinely interested in how I was and how each one of my children and their children were.  I spoke a little spanish but what she and I uttered back and forth can not be said here🤪. We always made each other laugh when one or the other would say it.  When my husband passed 3 years ago, Maribel cried for me and with me as if it were her daughter who lost her husband.  I will never forget her hugs and how she always made me feel.  She will truly be missed but never ever forgotten.  Always in my heart❤️🙏. Marlene

Maribel, was a great mom,grandmother,wife,an proud to say my godmother. She made my summers at her house the best summers of my life. I remember how she loved getting her hair combed an loved to cook for everyone. When she made pizza she made enough pizza for a neighborhood of kids. She would never forget me despite my abscence as I became a mother an a grandmother myself. She would make sure to call me on special days an I will always be grateful for all the love she gave me an everyone she knew. I love you Maribel an will miss you forever.
