On June 7, 2026, we lost a beautiful soul. Marlene María Boveda Fernández passed away peacefully at the age of 76.
Born in Havana, Cuba, on October 1, 1949, after emigrating to Madrid, Spain, she settled in Ft. Lauderdale in 1971 at her home in Wilton Manors, Florida.
Her spirit lives on through her devoted daughters, María and Karolynn, who carry forward grace, strength, and her love forever.
She was also the deeply adored grandmother to four grandchildren, Sofia, Christian, Alexander and Daniel.
Marlene’s life was a testament to the enduring power of family. While our hearts are heavy with her absence, we find comfort in knowing that her love is an indelible part of who we are. She has returned to the peace of the heavens, but the warmth of her memory will forever illuminate the lives of her daughters, grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
