Miguel Castro, a GIS QA Specialist with Miami-Dade County government, and resident of Miami, Florida died unexpectedly on March 4, 2019 at the age of 39 while doing what he loved…producing music.
Miguel is survived by his Wife, Olabisi Baruwa-Castro; his two Sons, Jadon and Grayson Castro; his Parents, Sonia Rodriguez-Murias and Francisco Vicente Castro Sandoval; Brother, Rafael Castro, Sr. & Wife Anouchka Castro; Nephew, Rafael Castro Jr.; Father-in law, Lateef Baruwa; and Brother-in-law, Olurotimi Baruwa.
Miguel was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on September 29, 1979 to Sonia Rodriguez-Murias and Francisco Vicente Castro. At the age of eight, Miguel moved with his mother to Miami, Florida where he completed his education and developed his passion for music. In the music industry Miguel AKA “Profile” Castro is known as Mr. Do-It-All! He worked with many artists by either producing, writing, arranging, featuring and even serving as an engineer for them. The artists he worked with are too numerous to name but include the likes of Missy Elliott, Mobb Deep, Monica, 50 Cent, Beyonce’, Jazmine Sullivan and SWV. Miguel’s talent in this industry will live on in yet to be released music that he recently worked on. His musical legacy will live on!
In 2005, Miguel met the love of his life, Olabisi Baruwa, and they married on October 20, 2007. On November 11, 2008 and June 30, 2015, respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful sons, who were the most important part of his life. After their birth, you would almost always find Miguel in the company of one or both of his children. Miguel was everything a man should be and an example to us all. Kind and compassionate, Miguel was a loving husband, devoted father, dutiful son and loyal brother and friend. His loss leaves a void in the lives of his family, friends and all who knew him. Until we meet again….
