Mora Lopez de Alarcon

Our beloved mother, Mora Lopez de Alarcon, passed peacefully on January 17, 2025, at age 95. She was born in Habana, Cuba to Eduardo Lopez Hernandez and Raquel Valdes Hernandez. She is predeceased by her husband, Eduardo Fernandez de Alarcon, (2012), and her brothers, Eduardo and Jesus. She is survived by her son Sergio Montane, and daughters, Sylvia Alarcon Sparler (Howard), and Alina Alarcon Santana (Lazaro), and grandchildren, Yotuel Montane, Brandon Sparler, Jordan Sparler, Morgan Sparler, Giancarlo Santana, and Lukas Santana, and great-grandchildren. Mora also leaves behind a supporting group of relatives, including cousins, nieces, nephews, loving friends and neighbors.

While Mora had a successful career in the automotive and insurance fields and enjoyed servicing her clients daily, one of her greatest joys and accomplishments were to take care of her family, and to travel the world with her husband after their retirement.

She will be dearly missed by all!

A visitation for Mora will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33155. A committal service will occur Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117 Avenue, Miami, FL 33186.

A celebration of life Mass will be held in Palm Beach County at St. Rita Catholic Church, in Wellington on February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., and additional details will be posted at a future time. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to make a donation to The Alzheimer’s Organization. (act.alz.org).
