I remember Pansy as being the most gentle soul. She was always concerned with the wellbeing of anyone who came around her.  She loved to prepare meals and my visits to her home meant that she would cook the most delicious meals and made sure we ate. She was not much of a talker but she made you feel her presence with much warmth. 
Her passing was a shock.  May God grant her eternal peace in His presence.

dearest RETTIE, Family + Friends,
For we know that this current farewell, though now absent in flesh, will soon lead us to the heavens  where we shall meet again. For it is not goodbye; rather, “I’ll see you soon.” Your beloved sister, Pearline, is everywhere you are, in you + within all you do. When you find yourself aching in missing, we only need to open our mouths + speak the love + recall into remembrance the beauty and moments shared that our GOD so richly blessed us with. For we know not the hour, or why or when; nor may we make particularly catered-to- order requests; but in the darkest of days, loneliest + longing nights, where minutes seem endless + time sometimes just comes to a frozen halt; we know that our GOD worketh all things out for our good. He hears our hearts,  our silent aches + cries + in this, We know that he always sends us The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to fill us with that which we may be lacking, needing + desperately crying out for. And while tired and weary, where the next steps seem darkened with fogged mist and unknown, we know we do not walk alone. The LORD is my shepherd. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restore to my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod + thy staff they comfort me. May your hearts be still, knowing that HE IS; I AM, that I AM. The GREAT I AM; will flood your soul with the surpassing peace which exceedth all understanding. May GOD comfort you + strengthen your hands. So do not fear, for the LORD is with you; do not be dismayed, for He is your GOD. He will strengthen you + keep you; He will uphold you with his righteous right hand. We know that we who wait upon the LORD, for you shall renew + find new your strength; you shall mount up with wings like eagles; you shall run and not grow weary, you hall walk and not faint.

May Pearline's memory be a blessing to your family.

Oh Aunt Pansy how I miss you dearly. I remember when you came to New York to live with us for a little while when I was younger. You were always so soft spoken, so pleasant and kind, I admired that about you most. You lived well. I’m sure God is pleased. I love you Aunt Pansy. -Dahlia
