With deep sadness and loving hearts, we remember Pedro Emilio Nieves, 58, who passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026. Pedro will be remembered for his dedication, generosity, adventurous spirit, and the many meaningful connections he made throughout his life.
A seasoned Senior Engineer, Pedro built a successful career working with several companies across the United States. He was respected for his knowledge, experience, dedication, and commitment to his work. Throughout his career, he formed lasting friendships and connections with colleagues who appreciated not only his professional expertise, but also the person he was.
Outside of his career, Pedro had a passion for living life and enjoying the things that brought him happiness. He loved boating and took great pride in owning his own boat. Being out on the water gave him a sense of freedom and peace, and many wonderful memories were created there with friends and family.
He was also passionate about cooking. He enjoyed preparing meals, experimenting in the kitchen, and sharing good food with the people around him. For Pedro, cooking was about more than food—it was about bringing people together and enjoying time with those he cared about.
Travel was another great love. He enjoyed cruises, discovering new places, and experiencing new adventures. He embraced every opportunity to see the world, make memories, and enjoy life to the fullest.
Among all of his accomplishments and passions, one of Pedro's greatest joys was the love he shared with his family. He is survived by his beloved partner of 13 years, Carolina, with whom he shared a home, a life, and countless cherished memories. He also leaves behind his two daughters, Emily and Kirsten, who were an important part of his world and whom he loved dearly.
Pedro also leaves behind Jacob, whom he lovingly helped raise and embraced as his own. Though they were not connected by blood, the bond they shared was that of a father and son. Pedro's love, guidance, and presence in Jacob's life will remain a lasting part of his memory.
Family, to Pedro, was defined not only by blood, but by love, devotion, and the life shared together. He leaves those he loved with a lifetime of memories, lessons, laughter, and moments that will be treasured forever.
Those who knew Pedro will remember his intelligence, his passion for life, his love of the water, his enjoyment of cooking and traveling, and the unique personality that made him who he was.
He will be deeply missed by Carolina, Jacob, Emily, Kirsten, his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
His journey may have come to an end, but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will continue on forever.
May he rest peacefully, surrounded by calm waters, beautiful horizons, and the love of those who cherished him.
I LOVE YOU MI GORDITO, you were a beautiful human.
Carolina & Jacob
