I am writing with a heavy heart after hearing about Rey’s sudden passing. After having worked with him in the same area for over 16 years, it’s hard to imagine the days at FIS without him there.
Even after I left FIS last year, Rey was the one person I thought about often. We shared a million conversations over the years about our kids, and those moments I’ll miss the most. We had similar values and both raised our kids in the Catholic faith, and that gave us a connection that went beyond work. He talked about his children - especially their baseball - with so much pride and joy. He loved coaching and watching them play, it brought him so much happiness, you could hear it every time he spoke about it.
He also carried a lot on his shoulders. His job at FIS was very stressful and demanding, he handled it day in and day out for a long time with a quiet kind of strength that not everyone could manage, I was always impressed by such strength. Even then, he still made time to connect, listen and share a good story.
And those stories were something special, Rey had a gift for storytelling - he could turn ordinary moments into something hilarious. He made people laugh.
After all these years, he was more than just a coworker - he was part of my everyday life.
My thoughts and prayers are with with Amy, his children, his Mother and sister and everyone who loved him. I will always remember our conversations, his stories and the pride and love he had for his family.
Goodbye, Rey. Thank you for the stories, the laughs and friendship, I’ll carry them with me forever.

Rey was a great guy, knowledgeable coach, and awesome baseball dad. Enjoyed all of our talks at the field and even conversations when we would see each other while grabbing things at Publix . Rey was always known for his “defensive” driving skills and as someone you wouldn’t want to get behind on the way to the tournament. In 2018, our sons played together in Cooperstown and we were stressing out about leaving late and being the last one’s there. We passed Rey and family somewhere around Atlanta , so I knew right then that Rey would end up winning that distinction! We are going to miss you down here bud, but I know exactly what you are doing in Heaven. Taking it slow, enjoying a cold one, and watching a ball game .

I was so saddened to learn of your passing my friend. You were one of those people who always had something to say — and it was usually funny, wise, or both.

You loved your family with everything you had. You were always so proud of your kids and their accomplishments and loved to share stories about them. So many memories you shared about baseball, cheer, and school and how proud of the fine young men and lady they were becoming.

I always looked up to you whether it was at the office or on the water. We have shared many great times together and a few not so great. So glad we got to spend the time we did together and only wish we had more time.

Rest easy, my friend. Save a good fishing spot for us up there. Until we meet again, I’ll carry the memories and laughter we shared. May God ease the pain for the family and all of his friends.

With love and gratitude,
Chris Vincent and Family

We love and miss you big brother and we will always be there for Amy and our niece and nephews!!! I know you are sitting next to dad having a cold one !!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Rey's passing. He was a valued colleague over his almost 18 years at FIS, and he was known for his dedication, not only to the work but to the people he worked with every day. He will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that you are in my thoughts, and I hope you find some comfort in the love and support surrounding you.
