Ricky De los Santos

Pantaleon (Ricky) De los Santos, 90, of Miami, Florida passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 19th, 2023. Ricky was born on March 6th, 1933 to Pantaleon and Estrella De los Santos in Havana, Cuba. Ricky was the eldest of three; Brothers Edward (deceased) and Bert. The brothers would grow up living in Virginia, Tampa, Miami and, Havana. The family would finally settle in Miami where Ricky graduated from Miami Senior High in 1951. He would later serve our country in the Korean War. In 1961, Ricky met Mirta Perez-Calero (deceased). They fell in love almost instantly, married the following year and were lifelong partners. They would have 3 sons, Alejandro (w/ Lourdes), Alfredo (w/ Rose Marie), and, Juan Carlos (w/ Leticia); and 3 Grandsons: Alejandro, Juan Carlos and Christian. Rick was determined to provide for his family and give him the life he felt they deserved. Anyone who knew Ricky knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Ricky was the ultimate University of Miami Hurricane Fan and an avid pianist. Ricky was predeceased by his mother, Estrella, his father Pantaleon, his brother Edward, his wife Mirta and granddaughter Victoria. He is survived by Alejandro, Pichi, Christian, Alfredo, Juan Carlos, Juanqui, Carol and Matthew and Bert (Naida, Henry and Roxanne)

A visitation for Ricky will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 11:59 PM at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 SW 40 Street, Miami, Florida 33155. A funeral mass will occur Monday, October 23, 2023 from 10:50 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Cathedral, 7525 NW 2 Avenue, Miami, FL 33150. A committal service will occur Monday, October 23, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25 Street, Doral, FL 33172.
