Querida familia,
Con inmensa tristeza hemos recibido la noticia, la pasada noche, del fallecimiento de nuestro querido Chaviano. 
Nos viene a la memoria lo feliz que sentía con su familia de España, así como la inmensa generosidad y el sincero cariño que siempre nos demostró.
Un abrazo para todos de su familia española, desde su querido Colindres.

Ahora he recibido la triste noticia del la perdida de mi querido Chaviano . Desde la familia española en Colindres y de Bilbao Engelmann Arrasate, mi dolor por la pérdida de una persona muy cariñosa y generosa para todos nosotros. No le olvidaremos nunca. Un abrazo para los hijos y demás familia 

Querida familia! 

Desde España siempre os recordamos por la generosidad, simpatía y cariño con el que nos tratasteis!! 

And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.

Don Roberto, as I preferred to call him ,and lovely Isabel ,have graced our neighborhood for s shorter time  than I would have preferred,
He called us all in the area to let us know noise would be forthcoming.
And that it did!! But all through out  the marvelous transformation of what was well all toss away destined to be demolish  property ,Don Roberto was  a visionary and would not even contemplate  such a possibility 
You see he came into this world to attempt to improve everything he  touched !!
One memorable evening they invited me over for supper.
Another couple in their age group also was in attendance, 
I got to understand what they mean when they say;
" They sure don`t make them  like they USED too"
I had so much fun with them!!
Don Roberto was a very hilarious and incredibly engaging  host!!

While you his family long for " esos dias  we all spent with him"  rest assured , comforted,  in knowing this for sure was a man who lived,
A life well lived!!

With my sincerest condolences to each of you his children, extended family, his friends, and very much so to my dear friend  Isa, 

Let`s all please keep him and her in our prayers!!
