

Rigoberto Pedro Torres, 92, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Coral Gables, Florida. He was born on September 10, 1933, in Camagüey, Cuba to Miguel Torres and Ramona Elvira Caballero Torres.
He is survived by his second wife, Maria Isabel Morejon; his son, Angel Torres and daughter-in-law Mireli Almeda Torres; his daughter, Nitza Torres Coto and son-in-law Julio Coto; and his grandchildren Michael Perez, Michelle Torres, Julian Coto, Jonathan Coto and Adrian Torres.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Teresita Briseida Torres.
Rigoberto was a dedicated father, husband and grandfather always placing the needs of his family and loved ones ahead of his. He was a political figure in Cuba before being exiled to the United States on May 31, 1961. In America he was an entrepreneur and small business owner before he retired. He leaves his immediate and extended family with a legacy of love, commitment, devotion and high moral standards.
A legacy that was ingrained into his children and grandchildren. He had a broad network of friends and was loved by all. We will miss you Rigoberto.
Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Westchester Funeral Home, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33155, on May 13, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The Burial will take place at Graceland Memorial Park North Cemetery, 4420 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33134, on May 14, 2026, at 10:45 am.
