Sandra was born on September 2, 1957, in Havana, Cuba. She came to the United States as a refugee, carrying with her determination, courage, and an unshakable work ethic. She often described herself as “a refugee that made it to the top by working hard and forging her way,” and she lived those words every day of her life.
Sandra dedicated her career to nursing, a profession she loved deeply. She was not only a skilled and compassionate caregiver but also a trailblazer who earned the respect of colleagues and patients alike. Her strength, leadership, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with her.
She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, Alberto F. Guerrero, and a proud and loving mother to her five children: Christopher, Fabian, Bryant, Evelyn, and Albert. Her family was her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment.
She was also a cherished grandmother to Nathan, Mathew, Madison, Avery, Joel, Jazlyn, and Bryana, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Sandra was immensely proud of her Cuban heritage and equally proud of the life she built in the United States, the country that gave her the opportunity to achieve her dreams.
She will be remembered for her strength, her wisdom, her determination, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy of perseverance, sacrifice, and love will continue to live on in all those she touched.
Sandra Sosa Guerrero is survived by her beloved husband, her children, her grandchildren, and countless family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
