Sergio P. Garcia

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sergio Primitivo García, who departed peacefully on July 28, 2026 at the age of 98 years and 8 months, leaving behind a legacy of strength, hard work, love, and dedication to his family.

Born on November 27, 1927, in Habana, Cuba, to the late Manuel Garcia and Teresa Muniz and was one of seven siblings. In December 1957, he married the love of his life, Noalda, who preceded him in death and with whom he shared nearly fifty years of marriage.

He is survived by his five children: Maria, Ana, Diana, Sergio, and Mayra. Two sons-in-law, Orlando and Brian, and one daughter-in-law Liliana. Six grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Rudy, Juan, Michael and Bryan and 4 great grandchildren, Gianna, Sadina, Chiara and Dominic who will continue to honor the values he instilled in them: hard work, perseverance, honesty, and love for family.

In 1966, he made the courageous decision to leave his homeland with his wife and children in search of freedom and a better future for his family. He arrived in the United States without speaking English and began working immediately, determined to provide a home, stability, and opportunities for them.

He was a hardworking, resourceful, and extraordinarily skilled man and earned his degree of Industrial Mechanic in 1951 from La Escuela Superior de Artes y Oficios en la Habana, Cuba. He could repair almost anything from refrigerators and air conditioners to automobiles—and found satisfaction in solving problems with his own hands.

Even at 98, he continued to help his family, convinced that there was always something useful he could do. His strength was matched by unwavering determination. He never accepted age as a limit. He stood firm in his convictions, faced challenges with courage, and always found a way to move forward. He loved Sudoku puzzles, dominoes, politics, and lively conversations with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling and maintaining the friendships he had cultivated throughout his life.

Those who knew him will also remember his great sense of humor, his foresight, his family stories, and the countless anecdotes that still bring smiles to faces today. He expressed his love through his actions, always ready to help and make sacrifices for those he loved most.

Even in his final days, he faced illness with the same fighting spirit that characterized his entire life. His favorite saying perfectly summed up the way he lived his life:

"Forward, always forward—never looking back, not even to gather momentum."

That is how Sergio P. García lived: always looking ahead, with faith, courage, and the determination to build a better tomorrow for those he loved.

His family is deeply grateful for the expressions of affection, the prayers, and the presence of everyone joining us on Monday, 8/3/26 to honor the life of an extraordinary man. His memory will live on forever in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at the Caballero Rivero Little Havana Chapel located at 8200 SW 40th Street , Miami, Fla 33155

on Monday 8/3/26 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday 8/4/2026 at 12:00 pm the Blessed Trinity Church 4020 Curtiss Parkway

Burial services will follow at the Caballero Rivero Woodlawn North Cemetery, 3260 SW 8th Street, Miami, Fl 33135 at 1:30 pm.
