It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Susan Anne Manning, a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She departed this life on October 28, 2026, surrounded by family at the age of 87.
Born on July 18, 1939, in North Adams, Massachusetts, Susan lived a life anchored by deep devotion to her faith, family, and friends. She took immense pride in her 28-year career at the University of Miami, where her welcoming demeanor, dedication, and kindness left an enduring mark on colleagues. It was during those years that she became a passionate fan and proud season ticket holder of the Miami Hurricanes. Ever loyal to her New England roots, she was equally spirited when cheering on the New England Patriots and Boston Celtics.
Truly the life of the party, Susan embraced life’s everyday pleasures with enthusiasm. She cherished afternoons spent shopping and laughing with family and friends. Her gentle, compassionate heart extended to all creatures, but she held a particularly tender spot for her beloved cats, who brought loyal companionship, comfort, and joy to her home through the years.
Above all else, Susan will be remembered for her beautiful heart, unwavering love for family, and most of all her faith in God. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will continue to live through everyone that was lucky enough to know her.
Susan is lovingly survived by:
· Daughters: Doreen Yaffa (Jeff Wilson), and Diane Cardona
· Grandchildren: Christopher Cardona (Eliany Padilla), Alexandra Cardona, Amanda Yaffa, Meghan Yaffa, Samantha Yaffa, and Spencer Wilson.
· Great-Grandsons: Eli Cardona-Corrales and Liam Cardona
