

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shim Tae Im Murdock, a beloved matriarch, cherished mother, and adored grandmother. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, 7/25/24, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Seoul, Korea on August 11, 1929, Shim Tae Im Murdock lived a life marked by strength, resilience, and unwavering love. She was the guiding force and the heart of our family, a beacon of wisdom and warmth who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Her life was a testament to the power of perseverance and the beauty of simplicity. She faced wars and life's challenges with grace and courage, teaching us the invaluable lessons of resilience and hope. Her stories of the past were rich with history and life experiences, providing us with a deep appreciation for our Korean heritage and the values she held dear.
Shim Tae Im Murdock found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to her orchids and vegetables, sharing meals with family, or enjoying quiet moments with her gold Marlboros in hand. She was a very generous host, provided a life for her loved ones, and her memory will live on forever.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, instilling in us the importance of family, kindness, and living life fully. Her memory will forever live in our hearts, and her lessons will continue to guide us.
She is survived by her daughters Sue, Tamie, Jackie, and Kathy, and her grandchildren Amanda Tae, Ian, Matthew, Nicole, Taylor, Korey, and Anthony, and great grandchildren Mina Tae, Lorelai, John Kawika, Zachary, and Noah Kaimana
