I have known Anna, Lucia and Emma for years. I spoke to Anna all the time when I pick up my daughter from Tennis lesson. Lucia took tennis lesson with my daughter for many years at Ruth K Broad Bay Harbor. My condolences to the family and I will always remember them.

We were fortunate to have known
Marcus, Ana, Lucía and Emma as our neighbors down the hall in Spiaggia.

Our families shared many memorable afternoons together on the beach while Iva, our daughter, and Lucía jumped waves together. Emma was not yet born.

Emma had her own vitality that seemed to make a close family, even closer.

And every time a paddle boarder goes by, I remember Marcus…..completely consumed with that moment. That’s the only time I remember Marcus consumed with anything related to himself. Every other time, it was always about giving to others.

We will miss their company, but more importantly, we will miss watching the love they shared with each other. Always so inspiring.

To the extended Guara family,
I met this lovely family many years ago when Lucia was at GSKA with our son Joaquín. We changed schools for preK and kindergarten but when we ended up at RKBBH I ran into Ana there at the tennis courts. Joaquín and Lucia had many enjoyable hours playing there. By third grade, Lucia and Joaquín were classmates again. It was always good to see them at mass and at religious ed classes at St. Joseph’s. I have been thankful each time our lives met up, their positivity and friendship was truly a gift. Lucia was just a bright light, always a joy and a good friend to our son. Little Emma, the most beautiful baby who was becoming an incredible girl. I’m so, so sorry for your loss. Please know that we are all grieving with you. Love and prayers to all.

Dearest Annette and family,
We were childhood friends in Miami and lost touch when my family moved overseas.
I want to share my deepest condolences with you and all the family over this tragic loss. There are no words that can ease the sadness, but know that my love and prayers are with all of you and that you have your very own angels up in heaven.

My deepest sympathy to the Guara family. As a former colleague of Marcus, we worked together at American Hotel Register. Marcus was a wonderful colleague, teacher, motivator, full of inspiration & just a wonderful friend. His smile would quickly pull you out of a mood and make you laugh, all at the same time. While back at the corporate office, he always made time to find out how you were doing. Although I worked from Honolulu, Hawaii, Marcus would remind me if I ever needed help with sales tips he would be available to go over a sales plan anytime. I will always remember his kindness.
Me ke aloha pumehana my friend. Fly with the angels.

I didn’t really know you guys but your story has touched our hearts. We have two girls about the same age as Lucia and Emma. Just by the faces we could tell how much love you guys shared. You were a beautiful family. I can’t explain why bad things happen....but the only hope we have is that this life on this Earth is only temporary , God’s promises us that we will have something better for when we reach eternal life. It hurts to hear how your lives were cut short but a blessing as you all left together. May you always be together! May God keep you guys in His glory and give your family peace that this is just a short pause for all those who believe in Him will meet again! God Bless, The Lob Family
