She was born November 21, 1937, in Georgetown, Guyana. In 1968, she migrated to the United States. She went on to work in several jobs as a dedicated employee, earning respect from her peers and coworkers. She ended her career as a legal secretary and retired at the age of 75 in 2012.
She was a voracious reader, avid sports fan, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Yvonne was generous, loving, intelligent, spirited, and strong-willed. All who knew her noted her keen intellect, strength of character, and determination to live life her own way.
Yvonne is survived by her Daughters Titanya Ramsingh-Pierce and Joan Ramsingh, Sister Sarswattee (Lisa) Persaud, Brother Bhirowe (Roy) Sammy, Grandchildren Zachary Pierce, Jordanna Pierce, and David Ramsingh, Son-in-Law Andrew Pierce, Son-in-Law Jose Ortiz, Brother-in-Law Kuldip Persaud, Niece Lomharshanie (Shanie) Irwin, Niece Navita Persaud, Nephew-in-Law James Irwin, Nephew-in-Law Rohit Manchanda, and Grand-Niece Simran Manchanda.
She was very loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
