Zenaida Fernandez passed away on March 1, 2017 in Miami Beach FL. Zenaida was born on January 26,1943 in Cuba, the cherished daughter of Victoria and Salvador Socorro. Zenaida had wonderful memories of growing up with her sister Clara at the family’s beach house in Cuba. She loved to share her animated stories of her childhood with her children, grandchildren and friends. In 1961 she married her beloved husband Gustavo Fernandez. They fled Cuba and began their life together in New York. Zenaida was the owner of Castle Manor Antiques. She loved the Arts and enjoyed museums, theatre and opera. She is the loving mother of Todd Fernandez (Elsie) and Vicky Bolduc (Christian), adoring grandmother of Sebastian, Jessica, Samantha and Sophia, and dear friend to many. She was a beautiful, classy woman full of kindness and love with a smile that would light up a room. Visitation services to be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 from 12 Noon to 5 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South Funeral Home. Private burial date for immediate family only to be determined. Memorial donations in her name can be sent to Perez Arts Museum Miami.
