

MILLER, Ann Marie, age 67 of Miamisburg passed away suddenly on Monday, August 22, 2016, following a brief illness. Ann was born on September 23, 1948, in Troy, Ohio to Marion and Joann (Keogh) Miller. She attended Our Lady of Good Hope School and graduated from Alter High School in 1966 – the first graduating class from that school. She received her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Dayton and taught in Catholic Elementary Schools for over 40 years. Ann spent her career teaching at Ascension School, where she also organized a student group which volunteered for the Red Cross; at Resurrection School, where she also coached track; and, finally, at Our Lady of the Rosary. Ann was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Good Hope Church, where she served as a CCD teacher, a Lay Communion Distributor, volunteer wherever she was needed, and a member of the church choir, which she joined in elementary school. She also coached track and volleyball for Our Lady of Good Hope and Bishop Leibold School. Ann was involved with Buckeye Trails Girl Scouts for many years as a troop leader, an assistant leader, and a volunteer. She also coached track and field for several Dayton area track clubs, including West Dayton Roadrunners, Dayton Striders, and Ohio Thunder. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Joann Miller, and three brothers: David, Michael, and Christopher. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Ron (Nina) Miller, Joe Miller, Carol (John) Bond, Amee (Lynn) Woodard, Geoff (Traci) Miller, Margaret (Mark Phillips) Bussard, Kathy (Mike Bright), Patty (Bill) Clark, John (Kathy Burns) Miller, and special cousin Lynn (Steve) Frazier, as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ann was a loving, compassionate person who would give you the shirt off her back. She will be remembered fondly for her caring and gracious spirit. Family will receive friends and loved ones during visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, August 26, 2016 and 9:30 – 10:30 am Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at Our Lady of Good Hope Church, Miamisburg, celebrated by Father Tom Shearer. Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville will serve as Ann’s final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Good Hope Music Ministry at 6 S.
