Never thought I would be submitting anything like this so soon for my good friend. We grew up together in Middletown and attended Amanda, Verity and LMHS together. We did many things after graduation together too. We coached soccer, we worked together in Lebanon and just hung out figuring what to do with our lives. Life's twist and turns lead us down our paths eventually. I married a wonderful woman and joined the Service so we lost touch for a bit. I heard of Arts fathers death and reunited with him in the late 90's. He told me then he was engaged and heading West to work in construction with his dads blessings. I lost touch again with Art for many years until learning through my wife's FB he was up North and sick....Arthur, I regret missing out on the years, not knowing the latter part of your life, your daughter and you not meeting my children and us catching up on each others lives old friend. I knew you would find your way into your fathers footsteps as a Fireman. I could see how loved and respected you were from your family, the community and the brotherhood of Firefighters at your visitation today. You were too young to leave but God needed you with him and you are in a better place. God bless you, your family and we will all see you again eventually. I will miss you my brother and cherish the times we had. It was an honor knowing you....

I went to elementary school with arthur and he was our paper boy for a while as a kid. I knew him as honest and he never sat down always on the move. I hope his daughter and family know that many thought well of him and it saddens all who knew him.

I had a chance to get to know Art last year while he was in Utah working on Stella's home. What a nice, giving man. He made this world a better place.

I was Arthur's 6th grade teacher. I will always remember Arthur's infectious smile and his sunny disposition. We conquered Math together, and he became quite proficient.
I am so happy that Arthur had a career that he loved. Helping people was always in his game plan! God Bless!
