Phillipsburg firefighter, lost his battle with a brief illness and went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2014. He was born January 21, 1969 in Middletown, OH to the late Arthur and Sharon (Grange) Springer I. In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Springer III. He is survived by his daughter, Mollie Springer; sister, Alice (Elzie) McNair; nephew, Thomas Springer; great nephew, Cash Springer; a special grandmother, Stella Springer; special friend, Michelle Kincaid and his beloved dog, Domino. Art will be terribly missed by his family in both Ohio and Utah which includes many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends and a brotherhood and sisterhood of firefighters. Art was a 1988 graduate of Lemon Monroe High School and completed his fire rescue training at Sinclair Community College. He spent 27 years serving various communities as a firefighter and EMT. He also was employed as a service manager at Tri-State Cleaning. Art and Mollie were avid Ohio State fans and loved taking trips to Disney World. Art loved many things including his fellow firefighters, riding motorcycles and more than anything his daughter, Mollie. Family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Living Hope Church, 1150 W. Spring Valley Pike, Centerville, OH 45458. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM also at the church and officiated by Pastor Jon Gibson. Upon completion of the services, an honorary procession will commence from the church to Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg, OH. His sister Alice would like to extend a very special thank you to all of the nurses and doctors at Sycamore Hospital ICU.
