

VANSKOYCK, Brooklyn Rose age 11 of Miamisburg passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home. She was born December 10, 2003 in Dayton, OH to Frank Michael Jr. and Elizabeth Ann (Friedman) Vanskoyck. Brooklyn was preceded in death by her great great Aunt Didi, Rosetta Wade. In addition to her parents, Brooklyn leaves to remember her little brother, Frank Alexander “Xander” Vanskoyck III; her dog, Kota; maternal grandparents, Alan and Rosetta Friedman of Miamisburg; paternal grandparents, Frank Sr. and Candy Vanskoyck of Springboro; aunts and uncles, Melissa (Scott) McCollum, Amanda (Brett) Howard, Joe (Jenny) Friedman, Kimberly Vanskoyck, Stephanie (Branden) Weidle and Christopher Mehl; cousins, Caitlyn, Rachel, Sam, Delaney, Cameron, Bella, Brianna, Madison, Kaily, Zach, Taylor, Dani, Skyler, Brayden and Mallory; her best friends, Brooke, Riley, Andy, Jayla, Gracie and Stephanie and the entire families of Medlarview Elementary and the MVACG. Brooklyn was a happy 5th grader who loved her school, her family and her friends. She was an active member of the Miami Valley Adaptive Color Guard. Brooklyn was a stylish 11 year-old, brightening each day with her cheerful disposition, joyous expression and keen sense of fashion. The family wishes to express their special thanks to all those who assisted in Brooklyn’s care over the years and for those educators that took the time to open more doors for her. Family will receive their friends and loved ones from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2015 at Parkview United Methodist Church, Miamisburg. Funeral service will begin 10:30 AM Saturday, March 14, 2015 also at the church and officiated by Pastor Mark Damschroder. Entombment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
