

Age 78, of Miamisburg, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg, Ohio. Carlson was born on January 19, 1936 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton to the late Carl and Kathleen (Moomau) Bogan. Also preceding him in death are his father and mother-in-law Frank and Dolores (Holtzman) Rhoades. Carlson is survived by his wife of 49 years Lynn A. (Rhoades) Bogan; Daughter, Jennifer L Mason, Daughter, Susan A Bogan, Grandson Travis L Mason (friend Ashley), Granddaughter Emilee L Mason, Beloved dogs Savannah and Cooper, Brother in Law Jerre L (Letha) Rhoades, Cousins Ed, Carlene, Nathan (Jennifer), Mindy, Linda, Russell (Stephanie) and Jennifer Blake. Additional family Craig W (Jenny) Bogan, Carla N Vangarderen, and Kathleen E (Leo) Schumacher and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Extended family Robert (Lois) Renner, the Robert Smith family (Bob, Scott and Vickie), Gene Stafford, Ron Wilmuth, Danny Swank, Jim Digiorgio and Dina (Ron) Williams and numerous others. A 1954 graduate of Miamisburg High School, toolmaker, avid boat racer, lifetime Ohio Valley Karting Association member and also enjoyed fishing and working with wood. A special thank you to all of the doctors and nurses at Sycamore Hospital ICU and also a thank you to the Miamisburg Fire Department. The family also would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support over the past few months. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, May 20 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 6 pm. Interment will be on Wednesday, May 21 at 3:30 pm in Hillgrove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miamisburg Band, American Heart Assoc. or the National Kidney Foundation, in memory of Carlson.
