

Age 89, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 in his hometown of Miamisburg. He was born November 21, 1924 in Bearden, TN to the late Marcus C. and Oneida (Scates) Pinner. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mable “Dewella” (Hurst) Pinner; daughters, Debbie Jean, Donna Sue, Brenda Kay Williams and Linda Faye Martin and 8 siblings. Charles is survived by his daughter, Carol (Denny) Hime of Dayton; grandchildren, Rob (Krista) Johnson of Dayton, Joe Martin of Lafayette, IN, Travis (Melissa) Frye of Centerville and Candace (Paul) Dixon of Centerville; great grandchildren, Brandon, Sarah, Zachary, Adam, Tyler and Caleigh and sisters, Carrie Haun of Dayton and Bonnie Kate Hodges of TN as well as numerous extended family and friends. Charles was an Army WWII veteran and worked for the steel industry at Dayton Forge Heat and Treat for 30 plus years as a hydraulic steel hammer operator. He would also paint homes in the area and cared for the properties of Dale Lane Homes to help support his family. Charles was a devoted husband and father. There was nothing he loved more than God and his family. His guidance and wisdom will be forever missed. Family will receive friends and loved ones beginning 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 East Linden Ave. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. Gathering and ceremonies personally officiated and musically accompanied by his loving family will take place beginning at 2:45 PM, also at the fuineral home. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton following services.
