Christine M. Dorton

Age 96 of Dayton and formerly of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born October 19, 1916 in Dayton to the late William and Lenora (Schultz) Phibbs. In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph McDonald (1960) and Campbell Dorton (1990); her sons, Roger McDonald (1990) and Robert McDonald (2005); her son-in-law, Robert Bucholz (1975) and a grandson, Keith McDonald (2011). She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Delbert) DeLong of Lebanon; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Sandra McDonald of Vandalia. Christine dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and enjoyed a lifetime of love and devotion in return. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon also at the funeral home.
