

FREY, David L. “Speedy”, age 68 of Miamisburg passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 due to a sudden illness at Hospice of Dayton. Speedy was born October 30, 1947 in Springfield, OH to the late Rudolph and Ethel (Dye) Frey. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judy A. Frey; his beloved yellow lab, Twinkie; in-laws, Frank (Barbara) Vaculik, Ed Vaculik and Vivian Meleski; numerous other family members and his close friends of the American Legion Post 165. Speedy was a United States Marine Corps veteran who honorably served during Vietnam. He was a member of the West Carrollton VFW and Miamisburg Eagles and Moose Lodges in addition to having served as Past Commander for the Miamisburg American Legion Post. In his spare time Speedy loved to socialize and hunt; he will always be remembered as a good man. The family will host a visitation Friday, December 4, 2015 from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the American Legion Post 165, Miamisburg. A memorial will immediately follow at 12:30 PM Friday also at the Legion. Dayton National Cemetery will serve as Speedy’s final resting place at 2:00 pm Friday with military honors performed by the Legion Post 165 and the United States Marine Corps. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of David Frey at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
