

Age 64 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 2, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin “Buck” and Hazel Shatto. He is survived by lifelong friend and mother of his children, Shirley Shatto; children, David M. (Teri) Shatto, Charles “Tony” Shatto, Tina Shatto (Matt Kiefaber), William “Billy” Shatto; grandchildren, Nathan, Justin and Jessie; sisters, Barbara (Dale) Draut, Bonnie (Tom) Horn, Charlotte (Ted) Craft, David’s twin sister, Dorothy (Ralph) Leeds. David is a U.S. Army Veteran, member of the Miamisburg American Legion, and Masonic Lodge 779. He retired from Miller Brewing Co. after more than 20 years of service as an electrician. David also enjoyed careers as a police officer for the City of Dayton, a fireman, and EMT. He enjoyed wine making, deer hunting, home improvement and he will always be remembered for his hard work, his giving personality and most of all his love and dedication to his family. Friends and family may visit from 11am-12pm on Thursday, October 6 at the Miamisburg Christian Church, 1146 East Central Ave., Miamisburg with the funeral service at 12 noon, officiated by Pastor Mike Tuttle. Interment following at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Hospice of Butler and Warren County.
