Donald "Don" Ray Rose

Donald Ray “Don” Rose, 82, of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Kingston of Miamisburg.

He was born September 29, 1935 in Cynthiana, Kentucky, the son of the late T.J. and Mary (Giles) Rose.

Don was a 1953 graduate of Miamisburg High School. He served as the Vice President of Farmers & Merchants Bank, where he retired after 33 years of service. Over the years, Don served on numerous boards and committees in and around Miamisburg. He loved spending his free time on the golf course.

Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, JoAnn Rose; sons, Keith Rose and Glen (Tammy) Rose; grandchildren, Allison (Jeremy) Staley and Nicholas Rose; great grandchildren, Quinn, Wade and Weston; sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Cartwright and Thelma (Chas) Maloney; cousin, Bobbie (Lois) Whalen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Buff Weidner Memorial Scholarship c/o Farmers and Merchants Bank, 41 S. First St., Miamisburg, OH 45342 or to the donor’s favorite charity.

I knew Don for over forty years. Don was one of Miamisburg's finest men. I did business with him at Farmers & Merchants & played numerous rounds of golf at Apple Valley. Don will be missed, but the family can be assured he made all positive improvements to the life of residents in Miamisburg.
