He was born November 22, 1938 in Germantown, Ohio and was a 1956 graduate of Germantown High School. Dwight was a member of Trinity Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was a past member of the Miamisburg Rotary Club and the Lions Club. Dwight enjoyed dancing and usually ‘ruled the dance floor’. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Dwight is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Victoria J. Boyer; children, Christopher Dwight Boyer and Laura (Todd) Creager; grandchildren, Alex Creager, Jessica (Rob) Harris, and Buddy Boyer; great grandchildren, Makenna Grace Boyer and Llewellyn “Wells” Harris; brother, Jim (Janet) Boyer; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved pet, Sugar.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Paul & Mary Boyer; his mother, Virginia (Shaw) Fisher; sister, Shirley Kraus; step-brother, Robert Boyer; and his mother and father-in-law, Lillian and Orville Sorrell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Trinity Church, 203 E. Linden Ave, Miamisburg. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4 PM with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Services are entrusted to GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg.
