

SEALS, Edward age 91 of Miamisburg passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born April 24, 1923 in McKee, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Lula (Allen) Seals. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn Louise (Grothaus) Seals in 2007 and brothers, Howard Seals and Gene Seals. Ed is survived by his children, Greg (Dianne) Seals of Cedarville, Dan Seals of Miamisburg, Sandy (Randy) Wilcox of Clinton, WA and Gina (John) Armstrong of Wheaton, IL; grandchildren, Monica, David (Angela), Valerie, Julie (Billy), Laura (Matt), Emily, Rachel, Jay and Lyndi; great grandchildren, Kyela, Everett, Ayden and Gunner; sisters, Leona Booher of Lima, Edna Barnt of Greenville, Bernice (Rollie) Altmann of Seattle, WA, Bonnita (Kirby) Hinds of Brookville and Joyce Simmons of Greenville and his dear friend and companion, Yea Reynolds, of Dayton as well as many other extended family. Ed honorably served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and served the Lord faithfully. Ed was able to support his family well during his 30-year career with Frigidaire. After retirement, Ed found himself to be a successful real-estate owner and auto part entrepreneur which allowed him many more years of income. He loved bowling several times a week and was active in the sport even after 90. Feeding the birds in his backyard was one of his favorite pastimes and he enjoyed a good western as he was a cowboy at heart. Ed was a generous and committed man giving to his church, family and others as part of his Christian life mission. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church, West Carrollton. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00pm also at the church and officiated by Pastors Joseph and Jim Shihady. Burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens with military honors.
