

She was born in Fort Thomas, Ky on June 2, 1930 to the late Frank and Etta (Mittendorf) Steinhauer. Erma was the last remaining of her 13 siblings – Mill, Baby Franklin, Ann, Irvin, Cliff, Jimmy, Eleanor, Gladys, Marion, Jean, Alice and Peggy. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arwood and her son-in-law, Steven Schindler.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Andy) Wisecup and Nancy (Mike) Kierstead; grandchildren, Eric (Sally) Schindler, Nick (Julie) Schindler, Lindsey (Ryan) Boyer, and Matt (Sarah) Kierstead; great grandchildren, Sydney Boyer, Abbey Boyer, Andrew Boyer, Maddie Schindler, Teddy Kierstead, Will Schindler, Reagan Kierstead, Treva Schindler, Mickey Kierstead, Kenny Schindler and Kobe Kierstead.
She was an avid reader, especially her Bible every day. She enjoyed crocheting, playing games and working puzzles, taking long walks but mostly being with her family that she loved so dearly. She lived a life filled with much love, laughter and unwavering devotion to her Lord and her family.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 AM – 12 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM with Pastor Sol Gomez officiating. Burial will follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg.
