

GAISER, Gailen Wilson, age 98 of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 Laurelwood Senior Living under the excellent care of Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 18, 1919 in Miamisburg, OH to the late Julius and Kathren (Baum) Gaiser. In addition to his parents, Gaily was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. “Peggy” Gaiser in 2016 and siblings, Marvin Gaiser, Denny (Chris) Gaiser, Rolland (Juanita) Gaiser, Garnet (Jack) Baker, Jenette Gaiser and Ruth (Walter) Fryburger. Gaily is survived by numerous adoring nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Miamisburg High School and honorably served the United States Air Force during WWII as a Sergeant. During his enlistment, Gaily was recognized for his invention and of the Selsyn Position Indicator for aircraft. Upon his return from the service, he started his career in the ice business later becoming founder of Franklin Party Supply and retiring after serving the community for almost 60 years. Gaily was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church, Miamisburg and American Legion, Franklin. He was an avid REDS fan and bowled in his earlier years. He also was a talented pitcher for fast pitch softball leagues and a dedicated husband for the 67 years he was blessed to spend with his adoring Peg. Family will receive guests from 10:00-11:00 Friday, August 18, 2017 at Parkview United Methodist Church, Miamisburg. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM also at the church and officiated by Pastor David Pettengill. Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg will serve as Gaily’s final resting place where military honors will be performed by active service personnel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkview United Methodist Church at 3713 Benner Rd., Miamisburg, OH 45342 or Hospice of Dayton at 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
